Clover Creek Ranch

Dear Clover Creek Ranch:

First off I would like to thank the staff at Clover Creek Ranch,  I’m terrible at names but the guy on crutches was great and his dad was a lot of fun too, but one of the neatest thing I saw while I was there was the cutest little girl, can’t remember her name either, that had to show me her baby.  You have got a special place there run by a special crew.  Now for the story.  This year my granddaughter, Madi, was chosen to go on a hunt sponsored by SCI at the Clover Creek Ranch.  She invited me to go along this year as her dad was going to be the guide of the hunt and she could have a parent as well, so grandpa got to take part in her first hunting experience.  I didn’t know what to expect of this hunt but anytime I can spend time with my grandkids outdoors or in the wilds of Oregon is pretty special.

Madi was concerned that I might not be able to keep up with her due to my knee problems but I was bound and determined to keep up and be there on her first hunt.  On that hunt, we made memories that are going to last a lifetime.   As well as thanking SCI for providing this opportunity for our young hunters and Clover Creek Ranch, I would like to thank a young lady, Rihley Friend, that helped Madi every step of the way from the steepest mountain all the way to the cooler.

Thanks again to Clover Creek Ranch and SCI for helping us make memories that will last a lifetime.  Grandpa Jeff Dixson, dad Jamie Dixson and hunter Madi Dixson, 3 generations on the mountain that day.
